Kathleen joined the London office of HarbourVest Partners in 1994. When she started at HarbourVest, she worked on a number of primary, secondary and direct co-investments. As the European business expanded, Kathleen began to focus on primary investments and now leads the European primary team. She is also a member of the firm’s global Investment Committee as well as the Review Committee, which is responsible for career management of all HarbourVest Managing Directors.
Kathleen studied Russian language at university but decided, instead of joining the CIA, she would become a commercial banker. She spent five years at the Bank of Boston (now Bank of America) working on leveraged transactions and then left to pursue an MBA at Dartmouth. She joined HarbourVest in London straight after business school.
Kathleen serves on the Advisory Board of The Watts Gallery. She is married with three children and loves to play, coach and watch sports, and engages her artistic spirit by participating in book clubs and going to the theatre and opera.
