Michael Lindauer is head of private equity at Allianz Capital Partners, the asset manager for alternative equity investments of the Allianz Group. His team is responsible for investing and managing a global portfolio of commitments in private equity funds and co-investments on behalf of insurance and other clients. Prior to joining Allianz in 2003, Michael held positions at PricewaterhouseCoopers and Yahoo!.
Michael serves on a number of private equity fund advisory boards and is a Fellow of the 2018 class of the Finance Leaders Fellowship at the Aspen Institute and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network. He served on the board of Invest Europe from 2013 to 2016. In younger years, he was named one of the Top 40 Under 40 in Private Equity by Financial News in 2013. Michael holds a master’s degree in business administration from LMU Munich.
He loves traveling and spending time with his wife and three children and is an avid FC Bayern supporter. In his spare time, he can be found on his bike, on the ski slopes or on many junior team pitches around town.
