The Level 20 executive team is based in London which is the founding home of the organisation. As well as the well-established mentoring programme, Level 20 engages with sponsor firms and the industry at large to bring diversity and positive cultural change to the sector.

London is the administrative and organisational base of Level 20, reflecting the size and breadth of the private equity industry in the region. Members in the UK can access a full calendar of events such as networking, and training and development sessions throughout the year as well as taking part in outreach activities, helping to attract a diversity of talent to the sector. Members can also apply to the mentoring programme which is currently entering its eighth year.

RECENT INITIATIVES

Working with sponsors
Level 20 UK engages with sponsors on a wide range of issues addressing diversity and working practices related to increasing the number of women working in private equity, particularly in deal-doing roles. From sponsor roundtables to interview skills workshop demystifying entry into private equity, Level 20 UK works across the industry to improve the promotion and retention of women.

If you can see it, you can be it: the power of role models
As part of Level 20’s commitment to profile role models; discussions and events across committees have supported women sharing experiences with one another, including Senior Leaders exchanging views with Future Leaders, and likewise Future Leaders sharing their insights with Emerging Talent members.

Forging new connections

The UK has three committees: Senior Leaders’, Future Leaders’ and Emerging Talent — all of which connect women working at different levels in the industry.

Committee members play a vital role supporting Level 20’s events programme, suggesting relevant and timely topics for regular digital and live events which include technical training workshops, networking and interpersonal skills.
