Jeryl was appointed as the first CEO of Level 20 in October 2016, she retired as CEO in December 2019. She has worked in the private equity industry for 30 years as a GP, an LP and an advisor.
After completing an MBA at Cranfield School of Management she began her private equity career in 1987 at Abingworth Management, when it invested across a broad range of industries. She was involved in all aspects of the investment process becoming a Director in 1993, before moving in 1997 to VenCap International, a fund of funds investing primarily in top tier US venture funds, as Director, Fund Investments.
She returned to being a GP in 2002 as a partner at Advent Venture Partners latterly taking on responsibility for fundraising and investor relations. From 2010 she worked as an independent advisor to a range of private equity firms on fundraising strategies. She served on the BVCA Council from 2002 to 2006 and has chaired both the Legal and Technical and Investor Relations committees.
