Emma started working in the private equity industry in 1995. She has been on the Inter Fund Management Investment Committee since 2022 and New Mountain Capital’s Executive Advisory Council since 2020 after leaving full time work at Intermediate Capital Group at the end of 2019.
She started her career as a Chartered Accountant, moving into the private equity advisory group at Coopers & Lybrand at the end of her training contract. She held roles in mezzanine investment at Royal Bank of Scotland, direct buy-out investment at Morgan Grenfell Private Equity and funds and co-investment with Merrill Lynch before joining Graphite Capital in 2004 as head of fund investments and a senior partner of the firm. In 2016 she led the sale of Graphite’s funds and co-investment business to Intermediate Capital Group and set up a new business for ICG. She obtained a first class degree in Economics and Politics from Bristol University.
Emma spends as much time as possible at the beach in Sussex with her husband, daughter and twin sons and is using her new-found free time to catch up on the 5 F’s – family, friends, fitness, food and fun!
