Outreach and Advocacy
We aim to move the topic of gender diversity to the main strategic agenda of the industry and individual firms. We help create a strong voice for women in private equity by promoting the business case for gender diversity and increasing awareness of the challenges they face in the industry. Level 20’s advocacy work includes talking directly to the leaders of private equity firms about the value of building inclusive cultures to allow diversity to flourish, publishing “Thought Leadership” pieces on building diverse teams and engaging with a wide range of influencers, including government and the media, to promote the benefits of greater gender diversity.
Our outreach programme aims to encourage young women to consider careers in private equity to expand the pool of candidates available. We are targeting women at different points in their career planning, including girls in their final years of school, undergraduates, business school graduates and young professionals who are considering a move into private equity.

The Carlyle Group Credit Opportunities 2020 Summer Internship
An opportunity to work with the Credit Opportunities team based in London. The role will involve financial modelling which require advanced Excel skills, assisting with analysing new investment opportunities throughout the UK and Continental Europe, as well as assisting in the execution of new investments in these regions under the direct supervision and guidance of full-time investment professionals. The environment is fast-paced and demanding, with a strong emphasis on learning about investing and corporate finance throughout the program. Interns will have significant access to senior investment professionals on the team for career advice, career guidance and references upon completion of the program.
